Airtran and Southwest Are Running $69 One-Way Specials

Erik Folgate

I thought that I would share with everyone that Airtran and Southwest Airlines are running a great deal right now.  For the next couple days, you can get a $69 ticket plus taxes to many popular locations.  If you are looking to take a late summer vacation or you need to visit a friend or family member, this is a good deal to jump on.  They run these deals periodically, but if you are like me, you usually hear about everyone else getting the deal and missing out on it.

I just got two round-trip tickets from orlando to cleveland for a grand total of $338.  My best friend is getting married in early september in Cleveland.  This special is only good if you book it over the internet, so be aware of that.  Other than that, there are NO catches or gimmicks.

don’t advertise $69.00 tickets specials when it only covers a few (4) cities. You get people excited only to let them down when the $69.00 special does not include your destination.
    Shame on Southwest!

Why don’t you ever specials from OKC to LAS. Your cost is getting to high for old people, guess I will start driving again.

False advertising once again. This is why travelling stinks. Wanted to book 4 tickets from Rochester to St. Louis in Oct. The advertised sale price is $69-$140, however after choosing flights, the actual price is $265, and $350 returning!! So much for a sale. Won’t be making that trip after all. Shame on AirTran!
