Make Money By Getting Paid To Blog

The people over at Problogger have posted a Job Board that helps connect businesses and blogging entpreneurs with other bloggers.  There are people looking for people to write for their blog, and they are willing to pay fixed incomes and/or share in the revenue from the site.  This is a great opportunity to earn some extra income if you have relevant blogging experience and a passion for the subject of the blog.  Remember, earning extra side income is a Money Crasher principle which is essential to gaining traction for eliminating debt, investing, and saving for large purchases.  I thought that I would pass along this great resource to find a job as a professional blogger.

Five Ways To Start Your Own Business While Working Another Job

If you are reading this article, then you have probably sat at your cubicle or desk job dreaming about your owning and running your own business.  You probably enjoy selling stuff on Ebay, and you are always keen on finding new opportunities to make money.  However, most of us do not have the resources (i.e. the mulah!) to jump-start our own business without taking a huge financial risk.  I am convinced that businesses can be born from the cubicle!  You can work your day job while jump-starting your own business if you do it the right way.  I’ve read numerous articles about this subject, so I want to share with you what I have learned and the steps that I will most likely take to achieve this task.

Ebay Tips & Tricks (part 4): Saving money on Shipping & Handling

Usually the buyer pays for all shipping and handling costs, but if you have ever shipped an item before, you know that there are many costs associated with shipping an item.  You have to pay for boxes, tape, bubble wrap, stuffing, and all kinds of other materials needed to ship an item properly.  Here are some tips that I have learned over the years that will help you save money and ship items properly.

  • Make sure that fragile items are packed securely.  There are cheap ways to do this, but the point to be made is that you MUST use bubble wrap, and you MUST pack the box tight with styrofoam peanuts, newspaper, or other padding material.

Alternative Ways to Starting Your Own Business

If you are like me, then you may have started out with a very formal way of thinking when it comes to entrepreneurial ventures.  The traditional school of thought is that you must have a business plan, have a substantial amount of capital, and be extremely organized and planned with your marketing plan.  I thought that all of these things were essential to starting and being successful with a new business, but then I listened to Steve Pavlina’s podcast about kick starting your own business.

After reading the USA Today article about Ben Casnocha, I was intrigued to read about a man whom started a software company at such a young age.  I found myself reading his personal blog every day.  If you read the posts that Ben writes, you will soon find out that he is wise beyond his years, and he has a passion for knowledge and understanding the complicated issues of our society.  The most refreshing part about Ben is his humble attitude that oozes out of everything he writes.  I introduced myself to Ben through e-mail about a month ago, and recently I asked him to answer some interview questions for this website.  He was kind enough to do so.  Here is the full interview.

The entrepreneurial spirit lives inside all of us.  You may not have found it yet, but it is there.  I am confident about this statement, because the great country of the United States was founded upon the principles of freedom, democracy, and entrepreneurship.  Most of you work for someone else, but you can still be an entrepreneur!

Answer these Questions:

  1. Have you ever daydreamed about being your own boss?
  2. Have you ever provided a service and collected a fee for it?
  3. Have you ever held a garage sale?
  4. Have you ever sold something on Ebay?
