Here is a list of the Top 10 best jobs in America rated based on salary, growth potential, stress levels, and other key factors that cause careers to be valued.ÂÂ
- Software Engineer
- College Professor
- Financial Adviser
- Human Resource Manager
- Physician Assistant
- Market Research Analyst
- Computer IT Analyst
- Real Estate Appraiser
- Pharmacist
- Psychologist
My wife and I are in good shape based on this list of the best jobs in America. My wife is starting Physician’s Assistant school at the University of Florida in July. The PA makes $75,000/year and the growth potential is over the next 10 years is 50%! This was the largest growth potential out of every job listed. I would like to be a financial adviser someday and own my own practice. The average salary is $122,000 and the growth potential over the next ten years is 26%. The only difference is that I would like to focus more on being a financial counselor than handling a bunch of old people’s retirement accounts. I want to help regular people with less than perfect financial situations. My salary potential will most likely go down a little bit, but that is something that I am willing to sacrifice if it means working with the people that I want to work with.ÂÂ
Anyway, this made me very happy about our future! I wanted to share this with those of you in college or just out of college that are trying to figure out what to do with your life. However, never pick a profession just because of the salary and growth potential. Pick a profession because you are passionate about that line of work, and you will wake up every day excited to go to work. If more people work in industries they loved, there would be much less prozac and paxil to be dispensed!ÂÂ

I can tell you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Software Engineers oftentimes have a VERY high stress level due which result from long hours coding pieces that need to be due immediately.
By the way, I dig the blog. Well done.
