I'll bet getting a $10K credit line is a bit more difficult these days! It would be nice to have that credit "buffer", but I would not use anywhere near that amount. I have several cc's, and the most I charge any one credit card each month is 1000.

This is a very interesting article to read 3 years later after all of the bank failures. It is a huge risk though if you invest it in the stock market. It would be substantially less risk if you put it into one of those high interest savings account at HSBC or some other online bank.

Hmm, I didn’t know that you could take a cash advance on a credit card for 0%. My credit limit is based upon what I have in my checking account at any given time, although on rare occasions I will also factor what is in my savings account if I need to make a large purchase. That doesn't happen very often, though.

A $10,000 credit limit wouldn’t excite or bother me; I don’t consider my limit for what I can purchase. It takes me the better part of a year to gain access to $10,000. I don't think it's EASY to receive a huge credit limit.

Not bad.
