Here are my reasons a) you are probably young and healthy -- you will qualify for better rates b) you will know that each time you make a payment you are helping to protect your child's future. You do not know what the future will hold and if in the rare event that not only you pass away but you have a child with special needs, you know that child will have the resources to be well cared for. Also in the rare event that you acquire health problems, you do not want to pay an outrageous amount for term life insurance.
