My suggestion for the 30 minutes a week is merely because I know that things change throughout the month. You may have an unexpected expense that you forgot to budget at the beginning of the month or you may have other concerns. I know that you can talk about it at dinner or things like that, but sometimes it's a good practice to set aside a certain time to discuss certain topics. Anyway, thanks for the input!
