why do i get quotes for me for 400+ for 1 mill and u have to have there auto insurance?

I would disagree with Justin, umbrella insurance is generally very affordable. Most policies fall between 100-200 dollars a year for 1 million dollars in added protection. Considering if someone falls and injures themselves on your property and decides to sue, that umbrella insurance cost is well worth it!

Hi Erik – very good article. Learned a lot. I do have one Question.
We are planning to stay and work abroad for some time and we are planning to sell our autos. But we do have rental property . So how do you protect from liabilities… how do u buy umbrella policy in that case so that you can protect from renters..

Really nice post unfortunatly more you are insurer safer you are but it could be expensive though.
