billeo logoI think it’s safe to say that almost all of us have paid our bills online or have done some kind of online shopping. I recently had a chance to look at a website that goes a long way in making these experiences faster, easier, and less stressful.

The website is called Billeo. It has a Bill Pay Assistant that allows you to simplify and organize your online bill paying process, a Shopping Assistant that auto fills all of your payment details and shipping information, a Password Assistant that saves all of your online passwords, and finally, an Offer Assistant that tags your search results with special offers and discounts.  I personally do almost all of my shopping online, and it seems like Billeo was designed just for me!

How It Works

Now that I’ve explained the Billeo basics, I want to review how it actually works.

To start, I downloaded Billeo on my computer. This process only took a few minutes.

Once you have the Billeo toolbar on your computer, you are guided through the setup process:

  1. Enter your personal information.
  2. Enter your credit card information. Here, I entered the credit card that I use the most for my online purchasing.
  3. Choose which discount deals you want featured when you are doing your future online shopping.
  4. Finally, you will have the option to set up the bill pay feature and enter your billing information.

This entire set-up process took a few minutes, but it was well worth it. At this point, I was ready to test the wonders of Billeo.

I did a simple internet search for “digital camera.” The search results appeared, and next to some of the listings, I found the Billeo icon. Through this icon, I was able to view all of the special offers for that listing. The special offers were generated from the discount deals that I chose during the setup process. For the listing that I chose, I found out that I could save an additional five percent by using my Discover Card, that I could get a reduced shipping rate by using PayPal,  or that I could get free shipping if I used my Visa.

I chose the Discover offer and was taken to Discover’s home page because I had to link to the retailer through Discover’s website. I logged into my Discover account, and as I typed in my password, the Password Assistant came into play. A little box popped up prompting me to save this password. I was thrilled that I would never have to remember it again.

Once I got to the retailer’s website, I went through as though I was going to purchase the camera. I logged in (and Billeo saved that password for me too), and when it came time to checkout, I used the Fill Form function on the Billeo toolbar, and all of my shipping and payment information was automatically filled in for me.

With the Bill Pay Assistant, you can simplify and organize your online bill paying experience. Billeo will save your receipts (or payment confirmations) and you can go back and access them whenever needed. Once all your bills are set up on Billeo, you will also have one click access to everything. This means that you no longer have to keep track of bookmarks or favorites.

And, a quick note on security. The site offers a great deal of time and money-saving tools to enhance your online experience. However, one of the first questions that come to your mind might be that if you decide to utilize the website, will all of your information still be safe? If you use Billeo, will you be any more susceptible to someone accessing your accounts? To alleviate your concerns, all of your passwords are encypted and stored securely on your computer. Billeo should be safe and secure to use.

Additional Features and Benefits

Billeo has so much to offer that it’s difficult to get it all into one article. Below, you’ll find some additional perks offered by each of the four Billeo assistants.

  • Bill Pay Assistant:  Set up bill reminder; earn rewards while you pay your bills.
  • Shopping Assistant:  Save all receipts and organize them by date, category, or company.
  • Password Assistant:  Save multiple passwords for the same site as well as passwords encrypted and stored on your computer.
  • Offer Assistant:  Auto-fills discount codes at checkout; works with both Google and Yahoo.

Final Word

I think that Billeo is a must-have for anyone who does any kind of online shopping. Nothing is more aggravating than forgetting a password to a particular site, and Billeo solves this for you. For those frugal shoppers out there, the discount  and special offers are invaluable. The Shopping Assistant can speed up all of your online transactions, and the Bill Pay Assistant has its advantages as well. For those re-sellers out there, I can’t imagine life without Billeo. It can speed up your online transactions every single step of the way, freeing up more of your time. I have a re-selling business, and I can already see how much time Billeo will save me.

One quick note on the Bill Pay feature: It is not your typical Bill Pay service (which most banks offer) where you can pay all of your bills from one place. This function is designed for people who pay their bills by going to the actual biller’s website. I pay all of my bills through my bank’s Bill Pay service, so this particular function is not something I would utilize. But, it can streamline your bill paying process if you don’t use your bank for online payments.

Overall, it’s definitely worth it to check out this site. With all that it has to offer, I am quite sure that you can find something that will provide some benefit for you.
