Welcome to the personal finance event that will bring you some much-needed excitement this tax season. Seriously. We’re giving away 3 brand new Apple iPads to Money Crashers readers.

File your taxes online by the April 15th tax deadline, and win one of the hottest new gadgets around. All you need to do is file your taxes online using one of our links to our 3 favorite tax filing services (*and even if you’ve already filed, you can still enter by simply sending us your tax confirmation e-mail*).
How the Contest Works
We’re giving away 3 Apple iPads (16GB with Wi-Fi) valued at $499 each.
The contest runs through April 15, 2010 and the 3 winners will be selected by a random draw on April 16, 2010.
To participate in the contest, all you have to do is perform certain actions that gain you more entries. The more entries you have, the higher your chances of winning an Apple iPad.
Below is a step by step guide of how it works.
1. Sign up for the free Money Crashers contest mailing list (required).
This is required in order to enter the contest so that we can keep track of your name, email, and Twitter username for the participation list. We will also send you updates to the contest via email including the list of winners. This is a separate list from previous contests, so you will need to sign up again for this specific giveaway even if you were part of a previous one. Signing up gets you 1 entry.
This list will never be sold and we will never send anything that resembles spam. Promise!
2. Subscribe to the Money Crashers RSS feed.
We release daily personal finance posts through the RSS feed with useful tips on how to budget and manage your money – including strategies for getting the most out of your tax return. You won’t want to miss out.
Subscribe to the RSS feed now. We’ll give you 20 extra entries if you subscribe via email through the form below (i.e. you’ll receive daily digests in your inbox of the latest Money Crashers articles).
3. Collect Entries
You can increase your chances of winning an Apple iPad by collecting additional entries for the contest. Check out the list of actions below. For example, joining the mailing list is required and will gain you 1 entry, subscribing to our RSS feed via email will get you 20 entries, tweeting about the contest will gain you 10 more, filing your taxes will get you a whopping 100 entries, etc.
The complete list of ways you can gain entries is below:
- Sign up for the contest mailing list – form above (required) – 1 entry

I prefer Turbotax online. Much better questionnaire than the other products. If you go for free, you get what you paid for.
I’ve filed taxes using software for more than 10 years. Most of them have been with Turbo Tax because I like the transfer from Quicken. Sometimes I double check them with one of the others.
hi, id love to ask, are this giveaway held worldwide…..?

Very cool giveaway. It’s a much needed distraction during tax time.
turbotax was great! just a heads up… it costs money to file state taxes even though federal efiling was free.
well i already filed and had it done for free. I’d never do it myself but THANKS SO MUCH FOR A CHANCE TO WIN SOMETHING GOOD :)
I’ve always been more of an in person tax filer, but as time goes by, I’m thinking I need to get with the times and look into getting myself set up with online filling. Thanks for the recommendations.
Years ago I started using H&R Block online after getting some kind of discount on their service and haven’t switched since. I think they have a great interface and there are always professionals available if you need them, plus they check your return to ensure accuracy. I hope everyone got a refund this year!
Blogged about the giveaway!

Turbo Tax wins hands down! I’ve been using it without any trouble for 10 years and never had a problem. It asks every question about every scenario to fit every tax category.
I run a home daycare so need someone to do my taxes. Wish it was that easy to do it myself.

Is it required for me to purchase a copy of the software if I’m filing a 1040 non-EZ?
New subscriber! New Twitter Follower who retweeted-sharonjo1! Thanks! senekers@comcast.net
I like the H&R Block software, as we have always used TaxCut and now they have renamed it. My husband finished our taxes Monday nite and it looks like we are getting a refund..whew! I was umemployed for 10 months last year so we were really sweating it. Thanks for the cool giveaway and for all of your tips…Im glad I found your site MoneyCrashers!

Well, I didn’t make any money this year to file, however, my wife has already filed for both of us :) The one time I did file online, I used TurboTax with no problems…. Hope I’m not disqualified from the contest :)
Hey, I just eFiled yesterday. If I had known about your service I would have used it. SNAP!
Thanks for the iPad contest I hope I win.
FYI – I’m putting my iPad up for raffle to benefit our Undy 5000 – Dallas team, Chisum’s Crew. We’re running to raise awareness and money for colon cancer in honor of our father, Les Chisum. See our FB page for deets: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Undy5000-Chisum-Crew/120295304655845
