Get the IHG One Rewards Credit Card if you stay at IHG hotels a few nights a year and want points and Silver Elite status without an annual fee. Once you’d use a free night each year on a room that costs more than $150, the $150 IHG Premier card pays you more.
Chase’s no-annual-fee card for Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, and IHG’s other hotels was called the IHG One Rewards Traveler Card until October 2026. Its points go to your IHG One Rewards account, where you redeem them for reward nights rather than cash.

- Every fourth night free on standard-room stays of four nights or more booked with points

Cons
- No anniversary free night, which the $150 IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card adds at hotels costing up to 50,000 points
- From 2027, the fourth night free needs $5,000 in purchases in a calendar year, and then lasts through the next year
- Utilities, internet, phone, and select streaming services earn 3 points per $1 only on purchases posted through Dec. 31, 2026, then 2
Guests who stay at IHG hotels a few nights a year get Silver status and 5 points per $1 on those stays for $0 a year. Anyone spending one night a year at an IHG hotel that charges over $150 in cash but no more than 50,000 points should get the Premier, since its anniversary night alone covers the $150 fee.
