Just the Tip:

Get the Allways Rewards Visa only if you fly Allegiant several times a year or book its vacation packages of four or more hotel nights. Its points, worth 1 cent each, and perks like priority boarding for your party and buy-one-get-one airfare work only on Allegiant. Everyone else does better with a general travel card.

Bank of America issues the Allways Rewards Visa, which replaced the Allegiant World Mastercard when Allegiant moved its card program to Visa. It suits travelers in the smaller cities Allegiant connects to vacation spots, especially families who book flights, hotels, and rental cars through the airline.

Key Features

  • $59 annual fee and no foreign transaction fee
  • 30,000 bonus points, worth $300 toward Allegiant travel, after $1,500 in purchases within 90 days of opening
  • 3 points per $1 on Allegiant purchases, 2 per $1 at restaurants and bars (not fast food), and 1 per $1 on everything else
  • Points worth 1 cent each toward Allegiant flights and the hotels, rental cars, bags, and seats booked with them
  • 19.74% to 27.74% variable interest rate on purchases and balance transfers

Pros

  • Priority check-in and boarding for everyone on your itinerary, plus one free onboard drink per flight, where snacks and drinks otherwise cost $2 to $7
  • Buy-one-get-one airfare on vacation packages with at least four hotel nights or seven rental-car days
  • Points don’t expire while the card is open, and you can spend any number of them on any travel date

Cons

  • Points pay only for Allegiant travel
  • No free checked bag, lounge access, or elite status
  • Buy-one-get-one airfare must be booked by phone and paid with the card, not points
  • Only 1 point per $1 on Sun Country, the airline Allegiant bought in 2026, and no perks or point redemptions there

Charge about $2,000 a year in Allegiant trips and the 6,000 points you earn, worth $60, cover the $59 fee, so priority boarding and any companion airfare are extra value. If you spend less than $2,000 a year with Allegiant and skip its vacation packages, a general travel card serves you better.
