Disney is raising ad-free Disney+ and Hulu to $21.49 a month each, but the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads stays at $12.99. If you pay for either ad-free app, switch to that bundle before the higher price reaches your bill. You’ll save $8.50 a month and get both services.
If you already subscribe, the increase hasn’t reached you yet. Disney+ and Hulu both say current subscribers see the new prices in their first billing cycle on or after Oct. 21, 2026, so a plan change made now comes before the first higher charge.
Disney kept the Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads at $12.99 while ad-free Disney+ and ad-free Hulu each went to $21.49. One ad-free app now costs $8.50 a month more than both services with ads. That’s $102 a year for ad-free viewing on a single service.
The priciest way to get both services is paying for each ad-free app separately. That runs $42.98 a month, while the ad-free bundle costs $21.99, so combining them saves $20.99 a month for the same two ad-free services.
To switch on Disney+:
- Log in at DisneyPlus.com, choose your profile, and open Account.
- Under Your Plans & Billing, select Change next to your subscription and pick the bundle.
- If Hulu, Apple, Google, Amazon, or another company bills you, make the change with that company instead.
Disney says a move to a lower-tier plan starts on your next billing date. Check two things before you switch. Changing plans ends any current promotion or price hold, so keep a promo rate that’s already below $12.99. And the $12.99 bundle covers only Disney+ and Hulu, so if your plan also includes ESPN or HBO Max, compare those bundles instead.
Make the change before your next bill, and the $21.49 price never reaches your card. The next time any streaming service raises its price, check its bundles and ad plans before you pay more or cancel.
