World Mastercard and Visa Signature Cards Come With Network Perks – Claim Yours

A magnifying glass over a sage credit card reveals hidden card perks, a coral car, a hotel bell and a TV with a play button
Just the Tip:

If your card says World or World Elite Mastercard, or Visa Signature or Visa Infinite, that tier comes with perks from Visa or Mastercard itself, on top of your bank’s. They include ride and streaming credits and hotel extras. Look up your tier’s benefits on Visa’s or Mastercard’s site and set up the ones you’d use.

The catch is that you get nothing from the perks below until you take a step to claim each one.

Through January 2027, a World or World Elite Mastercard gets you a $5 Lyft credit in any calendar month you take three Lyft rides paid with it. Both tiers also come with Mastercard’s ID theft protection, which watches your credit file for fraud but starts only after you register for it.

With a Visa Signature or Visa Infinite card, you can book through Visa’s Luxury Hotel Collection, a program of more than 900 hotels. A stay booked there comes with daily breakfast for two, a $25 food and drink credit, and a room upgrade when one is available at check-in.

World Elite cards also carry a Peacock credit, which shows what one perk can add up to. Pay Peacock directly with the card for a monthly Premium or Premium Plus plan, and you get $3 back on your statement each month through December 2027, or $36 over a year. A plan billed through another company, rather than by Peacock, may not count.

To check your own card, find the tier in the card’s full name on your bank’s website or in its guide to benefits. That guide also covers purchase protection, extended warranties, and rental car coverage, which vary by bank even within a tier, so treat those credit card protections as a separate check.

Next, open the network’s list for your tier, such as the World Elite Mastercard benefits or the Visa Signature benefits. Then do what each perk asks, whether that’s paying Lyft or Peacock with this card, registering for ID theft protection, or booking a hotel through Visa’s site.

Start with a perk tied to something you already pay for, since claiming it only means paying with this card.
