Get the Citi Double Cash® Card if you pay your bill in full each month and want 2% back on every purchase, with no annual fee and no categories to track. Use another card abroad, where it adds a 3% fee to each purchase, or when you need 0% interest on new purchases.
The card pays its 2% in two halves, 1% on each purchase and 1% more when you pay for it, as Citi ThankYou points worth a cent each in cash back. Citi stopped taking applications for its Custom Cash Card on May 28, 2026, and its closure notice sends anyone who wants a cash back card to the Double Cash.
