Chase issues the DoorDash Rewards Mastercard for people who order through DoorDash or Caviar, DoorDash’s other delivery app. The points it earns can pay for all or part of an order at checkout, and each one is worth a cent.

Key Features

  • $0 annual fee, no foreign transaction fee, and 18.49% to 27.99% variable interest (APR) on balances you carry
  • 4% back on orders through DoorDash and Caviar, 3% on dining bought directly from a restaurant, 2% at grocery stores, and 1% on everything else
  • A free year of DashPass, which waives delivery fees on eligible orders you pay for with the card, for you and one authorized user
  • Another free year of DashPass each time you spend $10,000 in a year of card membership, or a $96 renewal otherwise
  • 10% off one DoorDash grocery, convenience, alcohol, or retail order a month, up to $15, through March 31, 2027

Pros

  • 4% on every kind of DoorDash order, groceries and retail items included, with no cap
  • No annual fee or foreign transaction fee
  • Purchase protection against damage or theft for 120 days (90 in New York), up to $500 an item

Cons

  • 1% on purchases outside its categories, half of what a card paying 2% on everything earns
  • 1% on Uber Eats and Grubhub orders, since meals earn 3% only when bought directly from a restaurant
  • $10,000 a year in purchases to keep DashPass free after the first year
  • A welcome offer of DashPass only, with no cash bonus

Weekly DoorDash customers who would pay for DashPass anyway get the most from it, since the free first year saves them $96 and every $100 of orders earns $4.

Occasional customers do better with the no-fee Capital One Savor, which pays the same 3% at restaurants and 3% at grocery stores, where this card pays 2%.
