Open the Priceline VIP Rewards™ Visa® Card if you book most of your hotels, rental cars, and flights on Priceline. It earns 5 points per dollar on those bookings, worth 5% back, with no annual fee. If you book direct or use other booking sites, skip it, since everything outside Priceline earns just 1 or 2 points per dollar.

Barclays issues the card, which replaced the Priceline Rewards Visa in July 2025. If you held that card, Barclays has already switched it to this one.

Key Features

  • No annual fee and no foreign transaction fee on purchases abroad
  • 5 points per dollar on bookings paid through Priceline, 2 on gas and restaurants (food delivery included), and 1 on everything else
  • 15,000 bonus points after $500 in purchases in the first 90 days, enough for a $150 statement credit
  • Points worth 1 cent each as statement credits against charges from the last 120 days, starting at 2,500 points for Priceline charges and 5,000 for others
  • 19.74% to 29.99% variable APR (yearly interest rate), and 0% for 15 months on balances you transfer from other cards in the first 45 days, with a 5% transfer fee ($5 minimum)

Pros

  • Priceline VIP Gold status within two days of saving the card in your Priceline profile, a tier that otherwise takes five completed trips in a calendar year
  • 10 points per dollar on Avis and Budget rentals prepaid on Priceline (package bookings excluded), while that promotion lasts
  • Unlimited points that don’t expire while the account stays open and in good standing

Cons

  • Just 1 point per dollar, or 1% back, outside Priceline, gas, and restaurants, half the 2% a no-fee flat-rate cash back card pays
  • Purchases paid with a digital wallet like Apple Pay, or on a merchant’s mobile card reader, may earn only 1 point per dollar
  • The Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, up to $120, requires $10,000 in purchases each card year

Travelers who book most of their hotels, rental cars, and flights on Priceline should use it for those bookings and pair it with a flat 2% card for everyday purchases. Anyone who books direct with airlines and hotels, where this card pays 1%, earns more with a no-fee travel card that pays 3% on travel booked anywhere.
