News flash – insurance companies discriminate ALL the time. They get away with it, because they can always find some statistic out there that justifies them having to take on a higher risk. When insurance companies take on a higher amount of risk, they are allowed to charge higher premium. That’s why males have higher auto rates, and people under 25 have higher auto rates, because their age or gender make them a higher risk based on past statistics.
